Roller Blinds

What are roller blinds?

A roller blind is a single panel of fabric on a tube that rolls up to clear the window and down to cover it, driven by a chain, a cordless spring, or a motor. It is the simplest blind there is, which is also what makes it the most flexible. The fabric decides everything, from sheer and light-filtering to full blackout, and the same hardware works on a small bathroom window or a wall of glass.

Why choose them

Roller blinds give the cleanest look with the widest fabric choice of anything we make. They suit modern and traditional rooms, disappear into a slim cassette when you want them to, and take motorization easily. If you are covering a lot of windows and want them to match, roller blinds are usually where we start the conversation.

Choosing your roller blinds

Roller blinds are simple, but the fabric and the mount decide how they perform. Here is what matters.

  1. 01

Pick the opacity for the room

Sheer and light-filtering fabrics keep rooms bright and cut glare. Dim-out fabrics darken a room without sealing it. Blackout fabrics block light through the fabric, which is what bedrooms and media rooms need.

  2. 02

    Cassette or open roll?

A cassette gives a clean, built-in finish and hides the fabric roll. Open roll is slimmer and lighter. Either can mount inside or outside the recess.

  3. 03

    Close the light gaps

Every inside-mounted blind leaves a small gap at each side. For a bedroom, mount the blind outside the recess so the fabric overlaps the frame.

  4. 04

    Roller or zebra?

A roller blind is up or down. A zebra blind adds a sheer setting in between. If you will adjust for light through the day, look at zebra blinds too.

Questions

Roller Blinds FAQs

Something else on your mind? Call or text (720) 605-6782.

Do blackout roller blinds block all light?

The fabric blocks light completely. A thin line of light can show at the sides of an inside-mounted blind, so for bedrooms we usually mount the blind outside the recess to cover the frame.

Can I use roller blinds in a bathroom?

Yes. We fit moisture-resistant fabrics that wipe clean and stand up to steam.

Can roller blinds be motorized?

Yes. Any roller blind can take a motor with remote, app, or schedule control, and a solar panel option means no wiring.

How wide can a roller blind be?

A single roller blind covers most windows. On very wide spans we split the width across two blinds on one line or suggest sheer verticals, and we advise at the measure.

Are the chains safe for children?

Chain controls come with a tensioner that fixes to the wall. For a cord-free option choose cordless spring or motorized operation.

How do I clean roller blinds?

Dust with a soft cloth or vacuum brush. Wipe marks with a damp cloth and mild soap. Wipe-clean fabrics take a little more.
